From ACCA Student to Vice Chair of ACCA Member Network Panel (MNP) – A Journey of Service, Leadership, and Professional Excellence
When I began my ACCA journey, I never imagined that it would one day provide me with opportunities to influence the profession, mentor fellow members, students & affiliates and represent the ACCA community at a national level. What started as a pursuit of a professional qualification evolved into a lifelong commitment to learning, leadership, and giving back.
ACCA shaped my mindset, strengthened my leadership skills, and opened doors to opportunities that allowed me to contribute to both my organization and the wider professional community.
Today, I serve as Head – Overseas Audit & Validations Unit at Bank Alfalah, with close to two decades of diversified experience across Internal Audit, Compliance, AML, Forensics, and Data Analytics.
While I take pride in my professional accomplishments, I believe the most meaningful part of my journey has been helping others learn, grow, and succeed.
My involvement with ACCA has been a particularly rewarding chapter. From participating in member initiatives to leading industry-focused engagements through the Member Network Panel, I have always viewed volunteering as an opportunity to give back to the profession that has given me so much. Whether through mentoring young professionals, conducting technical sessions, or creating platforms for knowledge sharing, my aim has always been to make a positive impact.
A significant milestone came in June-2026 when I was elected Vice Chair of ACCA Pakistan’s Member Network Panel for the 2026–2028 term. For me, it was not just recognition of past contributions, but a responsibility to continue serving members, strengthening engagement, and helping shape the future of our profession.
Looking back, the journey has been built on continuous learning, resilience, and the support of mentors, colleagues, and fellow ACCA members.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to promoting professional excellence, embracing innovation, and supporting the next generation of finance professionals.
